GAME NOTES/HIGHLIGHTS
- LCSC began the contest with a drawn walk to Riley Way who was later brought home by a center field single by Justin Mazzone
- In the third, Luke White brought home a second run on a sacrifice fly to left field
- Aidan Nagle doubled down the left field line which allowed Sam Linscott to single through the right side and plate the third run of the game
- Through six full innings of play, the Warriors had held Faulkner to only one hit, a single by Jack Brinkley, and five runners left on the base paths
- The Eagles, stymied by the LC pitching, had consecutive three up, three down innings in fifth and sixth
- Keeping with the theme of scoring in the odd innings, Linscott hit an RBI single through the left side which score Way
- Following his hit, Linscott stole second base which brings him one shy of the LCSC record for most bags stolen in a single season without being caught stealing
- Mazzone, the next to step in the batter’s box, smashed a ball into right center field for two-RBI and a 6-0 lead
- Faulkner broke the scoreless streak when Juan Trinidad was walked with the bases full
- Dawson Day recorded 14 strikeouts in the 29 batters he faced before leaving the game after 6.2 innings on the hill
- Reliever Cameron Smith inherited three runners on the bases, but shut the door with strikeout
- Alexis Saldana commanded the mound for the first 6.1 innings for Faulkner allowing three runs, walking three, and striking out six
- The Warriors took advantage of a wild pitch from Faulkner, Nick Seamons slide across home plate for a 7-1 tally
- Nagle, Linscott, and Nagle all went 2-5 in the box with a combined five RBi and four runs scored
